Creation of journalistic content

The technique of journalistic writing is the discipline and standard that establishes the techniques for verbal expression in the press and other journalistic lines. In general, journalistic writing should respect a short prose style, which is very common in journalism and news bulletins, as well as in the media such as newspapers, magazines, radio, and television.

This technique refers mainly to the structure of sentences and the vocabulary to be used, but it also deals with the order of presentation of information and all issues related to the tone that should prevail in the discourse.

The structure used in journalistic discourse is known as the inverted pyramid, a writing technique that organizes the information so that the most important information is presented first: headline, lead paragraph, reinforcement paragraph and body of the news.

Journalistic prose should be explicit and precise, and should not rely on professional or community-specific jargon. In addition, the use of uncommon terms should be avoided, as long as there are equivalent colloquial words.

Similarly, it is common to include examples, metaphors, and anecdotes, and not to insist too much on abstract ideas and generalizations. Copywriters generally avoid repeating the same word in consecutive sentences or within the same sentence, and this is important for good copywriting. But the most important thing is to use ‘neutral’ or ‘unbiased’ terms, as far as possible, so as not to induce value judgments in the target audience.

In addition to news, reports, columns, chronicles or interviews, we also specialize in writing magazines, adapting to the style required in each case. We know in detail the particularities of journalistic texts, so we are prepared to offer an optimal and quality service.
